Private Label Options

What is Private Label?

Private label is a term that describes the ability to brand, personalize and customize a third-party product or service under your own organization's name. The underlying technology may be developed and owned by another company, but you brand and tailor the product using logos, and setting color schemes, layouts, languages and other configurable options to make the system look like it comes from you.

Hosted Survey Lite™ offers two levels of private label or branding: 1) the surveys you design and administer, and 2) the software application and technology that allows you to design, administer and host your surveys. Everyone who uses Hosted Survey Lite™ can private label their surveys; customers who offer research services as part of their core business often also want to private label the whole application.

The Online Edition application, found at www.hostedsurveylite.com, allows you to private label your surveys and feedback forms, and is the simplest (and sometimes least expensive, entry level) way to use Hosted Survey Lite™. If you need multiple end-user (designer/admin) accounts, or if you want to private label not only your surveys, but the actual software tool used to design and administer the surveys, or if your survey volume is relatively high, then the Webmaster Edition is a good choice for you.

Note that both editions are full-featured. The private label (multiple-account) editions give you additional account management functions, such as the ability to create shared question and template libraries.

Online Edition (Most Popular)

The Online Edition is available over the internet, with no setup or configuration. Simply open an account and start creating surveys. This is an excellent option for the majority of customers, and a good starting point even for those who are considering private label and license options. Pricing is based on usage, which is measured in terms of responses, or completed surveys. You get 20,000 responses and 20 months of service for just $20.

Private Label Editions (Managed, Licensed or OEM)

The Private Label edition can be hosted and managed by us (ASP model), or licensed and hosted internally on your own servers (in-house model). The Private Label ASP plan is priced based on two factors: the number of available "accounts" (surveys designers and administrators) and the number of available "responses" (completed surveys). With the private label ASP plan, we do everything for you (hosting, maintenance, upgrades, configuration, backups, technical support to designers, administration, etc.). Since we are managing the application services, our charges are tied closely to expected usage (end-user/designer accounts plus anticipated responses).

We also offer a Private Label Licensed edition for customers who want to host the private label application on their own servers, in their own data center. The Licensed plan is based on tiers of available accounts - 1, 10, 100 and on up to unlimited. Since the licensed version is hosted and managed completely by you (we provide upgrades and technical support to your technical/administrative team), we do not charge for actual usage.

Finally, we offer OEM editions for customers who want to bundle web surveys with their own software and services, or resell survey software and research services to their customers.
